It鈥檚 a question many runners grapple with when training: Should you rest or run when you鈥檙e coming down with a cold?
Cordelia W. Carter, MD, director of the Women鈥檚 Sports Medicine Center and orthopedic surgeon at the Sports Medicine Center聽at 好色tv Langone, tells Runner鈥檚 World that running may actually alleviate some cold symptoms.
鈥淩unning may decrease some of the congestion in the nose and sinuses, and you will still feel that natural endorphin high when you鈥檙e finished,鈥 says Dr. Carter.
But, Dr. Carter, who is also a clinical associate professor in the , warns there are several signs people should look out for that are clues that it鈥檚 time to skip the run or exercise session.
