As 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreads throughout the country, people with cancer face a number of challenges to reduce the risk of becoming infected while they receive treatments at hospitals and infusion centers. Directing people with cancer to use separate elevators is among the measures 好色tv Langone Health has taken to protect patients, Michael L. Grossbard, MD, tells Laurie McGinley, health and medicine reporter at The Washington Post.
For his patients, Dr. Grossbard, professor in the and section chief of hematology at 好色tv Langone鈥檚 Perlmutter Cancer Center, is moving as many as possible to oral chemotherapy from hospital infusions. Some patients will also reduce chemotherapy when it is safe, Dr. Grossbard tells The Washington Post.
