At 好色tv Langone, patient safety is our top priority. We have taken numerous steps across our emergency care locations to ensure your safety and provide the timely care you need during the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
All patients and visitors have their temperature taken and receive a face mask on arrival at one of our emergency departments (EDs). To optimize safety, we鈥檝e reconfigured our EDs to provide separate waiting areas for patients who have infectious-like symptoms, such as fever or cough, and our negative-pressure rooms have state-of-the-art technology to filter the air and monitor patient vital signs at all times.
In keeping with our culture of ensuring the highest levels of patient safety, we place an emphasis on thorough cleaning and sanitizing. Additionally, we perform COVID-19 testing in our EDs for all patients who are admitted to the hospital, allowing us to identify the optimal area of care for each patient.
Watch Catherine Jamin, MD, clinical associate professor in the , and Ethan S. Wiener, MD, clinical associate professor in the Departments of and Emergency Medicine, as they highlight ways we are keeping patients safe at the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Emergency Services and KiDS Emergency Department in the wake of COVID-19.
